Ripon Poetry Festival is thrilled to offer the first performance of a new chamber oratorio written by Andy Croft and Tim Harrison. Drawing on the fourteenth century Coventry Carol, When Stars Fill Darkened Skies is a retelling of the story of The Massacre of The Innocents by soldiers and grieving parents in the wars of the twenty-first century - Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine and Palestine.
